How to purchase prescription glasses?
1. How to choose between single version and progressive version?
① When you need to see far and near for use, and there is ADD data in the prescription, please select the progressive version and enter detailed prescription information.
② If you only need to see far or near for use, please select the single version and enter detailed prescription information.
③ When you are unable to input detailed prescription information, please do not worry. Please purchase the correct and suitable prescription glasses according to these points, and then inform customer service of the prescription information in the form of text or pictures. This way, customer service will also note the prescription information to the optometrist to make the correct prescription glasses for you.
2. How to choose the refractive index of lenses (1.56/1.61/1.67/1.74) (The higher the refractive index of lenses, the thinner they are, and the more comfortable they are to wear)
① If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is less than 300 degrees, it is generally recommended to choose lenses with a refractive index of 1.56. Of course, lenses with a refractive index of 1.61/1.67 are also suitable, as they will be thinner and more comfortable to wear.
② If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is greater than 300 and less than 500 degrees, generally choose 1.61 lenses. Of course, 1.67/1.74 lenses are also suitable as they will be thinner and more comfortable to wear.
③ If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is greater than 500 and less than 800 degrees, generally choose 1.67 lenses. Of course, 1.74 lenses are also suitable as they will be thinner and more comfortable to wear.
④ If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is greater than 800 degrees, a lens of 1.74 is generally chosen.
3. How to choose lens functions?
① Photo Brown/Photo Grey: Lenses do not have anti blue light function, but have anti reflection function. Lenses will darken in sunlight, turning brown and gray (changing color with the intensity of ultraviolet light)
② Anti Blue Ray+Photo Brown/Anti Blue Ray+Photo Grey: Lenses have anti blue light function and anti reflection function. Lenses will darken in sunlight, turning brown and gray (changing color with UV intensity). Relatively ①, it is more recommended to choose ②
③ Polarized/Color Tint: The lenses are colored and default to black gray lenses. They are prescription sunglasses. If you need sunglasses with lenses of other colors, please contact customer service to choose the color you prefer.
④ None: This lens only has anti reflection function, make prescription glasses according to the prescription
⑤ Anti Blue Ray: The lenses have anti blue light and anti reflection functions, which are our most commonly used prescription glasses
I hope these are helpful to you. If you have any other questions, please contact customer service. Wishing you a wonderful day.

Optometry Data Explaination :
Explaination:
1.OD-RIGHT = Right Eye OS-Left = Left Eye
2.Sphere (SPH)=Spherical, is the strength of our prescription,"+"refers to farsightedness and presbyopia, "-"refers to nearsightedness. If "PL" or "Plano" is stated at the place of SPH on your prescription, please enter 0.00 for this option.
3.Cylinder (CYL) = Cylindrical, is the diopters degree of the astigmatism. This number also has "+" or "-" signs. If "DS"or "SPH" or "spherical" or "PL" is stated at the place of CYL, it means you have no astigmatism and 0.00 is the option
required to choose.
4.AXIS, is a number between 0 and 180 degrees, and means
the orientation of your astigmatism. There is no sign before this number.
5.PD-PUPILLARY DISTANCE = Pupillary Distance
PD (OU), written as "64", means the Binocular PD which is for both eyes.
PD (OD), means the Monocular PD for the right eye, PD (OS), means the Monocular PD for the left eye.
Please do check frame size
The ruler in the picture cannot be used to measure your old glasses. Please use your measuring tool to check the size of old pair of glasses.(2-3mm difference acceptable)
Thickness of the lenses depends on a few factors:
1. Prescription strength. The stronger the prescription, the thicker the lens, all else being equal.
2. Frame selection/fit. All else being equal, the larger the size of the lens, the thicker it gets (thickness proportional to size).
3. The higher the index of refraction, the less of a material is necessary to bend, or focus, the light in the same way for the same
prescription. So, higher index material lenses will also reduce thickness and "Coke bottle" effect.
Helps for common discomforts
1. New glasses
2. New Prescription
3. The change of frame shape may cause discomfort.
4. Discomfort caused by discordance of prescription and lens index.
5. Discomfort caused by the spherical lens.
First time to try progressive Lenses.
It is of great importance to learn how to use progressive glasses and may take several weeks to get used to. If you still feel uncomfortable after several weeks, you could change to bifocal glasses or single vision for reading/distance.
